Happy Wednesday! I stopped by the Color My Heart Color Dare and found an amazing color combination that I couldn’t wait to play with. Anything with the Basics makes my heart beat a little faster.
This sweet little Otter from the Punny Pals stamp set had yet to be inked. Appalled? So was I. Right away I knew that he’d find a home on this card and Mink cardstock was just the right hue to leave him uncolored, except for the shell which I touched up with my Shin Han Marker in as close to a Sweet Leaf shade as I had. One of the techniques I used to bring a little detail to this card was stamping the sentiment along the side and then outlining the square with a freehanded black fine point marker.
The colors for this weeks color dare are Mink, Sweet Leaf and Heather. I have always loved the combinations that the Design Team puts together and their inspiration is so diverse. Make sure you take a minute and visit the Color My Heart Color Dare and maybe even play along!
Thanks so much for stopping by…I hope you’ll come by again real soon!
UPDATE: I was very humbled when I stopped by the Color Dare blog this morning and learned that my card was the Diamond Winner for Challenge #276.
Adorable card and didn’t require that much coloring and the pop of sweet leaf was just right. Your kraft challenge will be coming up pretty soon so know we will see you there. Thanks for sharing with us at Color Dare.
