This post is all about honesty…even seasoned stampers make mistakes! I’ve done it all, from attaching my card panel so the card opens the wrong way, using the unintended side of B&T paper and my most recent dropping my marker while putting the finishing touches on a card.
See that pretty Wisteria swipe just under the sentiment? It was my oops! I was totally disgusted with myself – I was touching up the ribbon under the bunnies neck and I dropped my marker when putting the lid on. My initial thought was “it’s homemade” and my second thought was “this will never leave my Craft-Coop”. Although a simple card, it was intended to be the last one I’d stamped before making my way to the house to make dinner and I had two choices – toss it or fix it. I chose the later.
Enter my Stitched Circle and Circle Dies from Close to My Heart. I stamped my sentiment in Wisteria Ink and die cut it using the stitched circle, but since my card had such a large amount of white it felt like it was going to get lost on the card, so with a quick turn of the Big Shot, I die cut a circle from Wisteria to mount it on. I popped up that sentiment piece right over the oops and it looked like that’s where it was meant to be all along.
Next time you have an oops…think of a fix and if you put that card front on backwards you can either fix it, by cutting it apart and remounting it on a new card base or save it to send next April 1st!
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you’re Staying Home, Staying Healthy and Staying Creative!
