Welcome to the Joyful Stars September Blog Hop! If you are arriving here from my friend and fellow Color Dare DT member Michelle Loncar’s Blog you are on the right path…if you’re starting here, that’s fine too. We are a small circular hop and eventually you’ll end up right back where you started just by clicking the links at the ends of the posts.
I haven’t had much time to create this month (my little 50th Birthday cruise to Alaska ended with pneumonia 😦 but I snuck out the Craft Coop last night so I have a project to share)
I know it’s only September, but I am thinking Halloween and the Cats and Bats Paper is fulfilling every need I have. I loved both stamp sets that coordinate with the papers so much and they even have matching thin cuts so yep – I own them both!!! You can find the Cats and Bats papers and stamp sets in the new Holiday Expressions or on my web page https://papercraftingprincess.closetomyheart.com/retail/search.aspx?searchvalue=cats+%26+bats
My 3X6 card is layered on a base of Tangerine – the gray layer is actually one of the PML cards that has been cut down to size. Not a pocket scrapbooker – no worries these cards make perfect additions to your cards too! I cut the BOOO! from a piece of the Cats & Bats B&T that is an ombre black/gray combo. I popped up a spider and added a sprinkle of Cats & Bats Embellishments and my card is done.
Please don’t forget that Close to My Heart has released a special non-commissioned stamp set for the natural disasters occurring in many of the states and Canada.
100% of the proceeds from the Stronger Together stamp set will be donated to the Red Cross. You can order this set from your local Close to My Heart Consultant or directly from my webpage by clicking here.
Now it’s time to hop over to my buddy Debi Brile’s blog. I hope you enjoy the blog hop – come back and tell me what you think of the projects
Happy Friday and welcome to another week of the Color My Heart Color Dare. This week we are featuring the colors: Desert Sand, Glacier, New England Ivy, Sapphire & White Daisy
I warned you that Hello Foxy was my favorite Stamp of the Month from the Seasonal Expressions and I wanted to find a way to use these three little foxes all together. When I saw this 3X6 card layout I immediately thought of a photo booth. So I inked up each of the foxes and colored with my Shin Han Markers. The basket-weave B&T is from the No Worries Paper packet and the ribbon is from the Enchantment Ribbon pack which is on the retiring list so make sure you get some ordered today.
OK, now it’s YOUR turn! The full details on how to join the fun is in the sidebar of our homepage. Each color dare is open until 9:00 CDT on Thursday!
While at the homepage – check out what the other design team members have created and leave them a little love (comments make our day)! If you’re excited about the Color Dare and think that you might be interested in joining our DT check out this post here. It truly has been a super fun experience and I’ve made some terrific friends.

It’s like a virtual tea party here on my blog this morning…
Each month my upline hosts a Stamp of the Month swap sometimes I participate, sometimes I just kick myself for not. This month I received four amazing cards and picked up an idea for a card of my own that will appear here next week!
Each of these cards is so different and that’s the really great thing about this stamp set, it goes with just about everything.
Make sure you get your Tea-riffic stamp set before the end of March – you can order it here. Thanks for stopping by – see you soon!
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite card sizes. I like that I can take 1/4 of a 12 X 12 page and with a quick score, fold it into a 3X6 card.
My intention today is to show you that although this is a Halloween Themed paper packet it is far from being exclusive to Halloween. I love the bright pop of colors from the Jeepers Creepers paper against the black background.
This is one of the cards that will be featured in my upcoming Jeepers Creepers Card Class. There’s a couple of spots left so make sure you get yours reserved today.
Thanks for stopping by…do you have a monstrous day!
that time in September? LOL! That’s all I could think of after I wrote the title for my blog post! I pulled out an oldie, but goodie when I made this card. It took three of us crafting together to finally pull it off and NOW the scraps of Pemberly are gone.
Do you have a drawer of half used papers? I challenge you to get them out and use them. Someone would love to find a cheery card in their mailbox and it gives you more room to add new 🙂

Happy Monday – I’m here again with more Stamp of the Month artwork as promised. I wanted to do something fun and different this week and maybe find a way to incorporate the Animal Greetings Operation Smile stamp set.
I thought and I thought and then it hit me…put the animals on the bus! When my son was a little guy (he’s 25 now) he had several Richard Scary books – his favorite was Busy Town. I can’t remember how many times we read it, but I remember all the animals in all the different vehicles so my card was born.
This card is a mere 3X6 – a sweet size for sticking in a backpack, briefcase or leaving under a pillow. The Calypso Papers are surely getting a workout this month too. It’s only available until the end of July so make sure you get what you might need to play with in the future.
Don’t you see so many possibilities with this stamp set? I’ll be back with another card next week, but with just 10 days left in June don’t let this stamp set get away from you! You can add it to a qualifying order for just $5…why not order yours today?
Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We are featuring March’s SOTM, which is “Choose Happy”, a set of 14.

Although I felt this set was initially going to be hard to work with, it didn’t take me long to figure that the frames would work well for both a scrapbook layout or a card. I chose to go in the card direction (no big surprise there I’m sure). I looked through the “Wishes” Card Confidence Book that has over 100 card patterns. I chose two that focused on using a frame.
The first card comes from page 59. I used the Wooden Frame and added Cricut cut letters from the Artfully sent cartridge to for a fun Father’s Day Card. I wrapped a piece of bakers twine around to keep the embellishment simple.
My second card is a take of the pattern on page 120. First I cut the shape from the Art Philosophy Cartridge and then stamped the frame around it. I placed a piece of B&T from Hopscotch along the bottom inside of the card so that it would show through the opening and then layered the sentiment “Choose Happy” on a pennant to the front of the card.
Now “Hop” on over to Chris Lathian’s blog to see what Creative Caper she’s been up to! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the March SOTM is only available until March 31st! Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount!
I reached for a stamp set from Jeanette’s Archive (I had this one in wood way back when) to make a couple of Valentine cards.
My first card is taken from a pattern in the Make It From Your Heart Vol. 2 I used some miscellaneous scraps of cardstock (my best guess is Pixie, Hollyhock & Cranberry) paired with the large floral pattern from Heartstrings (this paper is only available until March 31 so order yours soon) I then stamped the heart and colored each of those little roses with the Shin Han markers, the little cupids are also colored and then fussy cut and layered with Thin 3-D Foam Tape (have I mentioned I love this stuff).
My second card is made from the Flirty Paper Pack (retired) with the same stamp set. This little card is a 3X6 with the front cut with the Scallop Border Punch (notice the little sparkle? It’s Gold Shimmer Trim mounted on the bottom of the inside of the card.) the frame is cut from the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge. The heart and cupid are again colored, fussy cut and mounted with Thin 3D Foam Tape.
I hope you’ve enjoyed stopping by today…show me a little love by leaving a comment.
