A True Classic

I’m a little late to the car show, but I noticed that this stamp set is still available in a limited quantity and it makes a fabulous masculine card.

Don’t adjust your computer this card is done in all tones of gray. I used the mix-in paper packet from the fall (it’s also still available and such great colors). I stamped the ink blot stamp set in Pewter second generation and then stamped the truck in Charcoal over the top.

If you struggle with masculine cards, I’d suggest working with a monochromatic color scheme and avoid the floral B&T!!

Thanks for stopping by won’t you take a minute to leave me your favorite masculine color combo in the comment section.

Color Dare #368

Happy Friday I’m back with another Design Team card for  Color My Heart Color Dare.   This week our challenge is to choose any colors inspired by the Horn of Plenty.

I had so much fun picking the fall colors for this card…I settled for cardstock in Peacock and Ruby, some papers from the mix-in paper packet and an assortment of stamp sets.

The z-fold card is attached to a flat fold and when it extends you find a gift card pocket. It was quite easy to put together and still packed a little surprise. My hubby thought the coffee rings looked like they were from a shot glass – shhh, don’t tell him the Craft-Coop is where I keep my stash.

You can visit the Color My Heart Color Dare blog for all the information on how to play along as well as finding additional inspiration from the other Design Team members.

Double Trouble #39

There is no better way to start a Monday than with a little trouble – A Double Trouble Papercrafting Challenge that is!

It’s a special week at Double Trouble (9-30 thru 10-6) is our Something, Anything, Everything Challenge with the fun twist of making PINK your prominent color to help us celebrate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, you can also get extra points in our prize draw by linking to one of our previous challenge partners. You can find all the details and link up your creations by visiting our challenge blog.

My card is a fancy fold card with my favorite combination of Ballerina & Black. The big bold flower flips open from a fancy fold card to display the first sentiment and then an additional sentiment is inside the card with room to write a message and sign your name.

I hope you’ll come play along with our short week, but extremely fun challenge. Don’t forget to link up and join the fun…everyone needs a little Double Trouble in their life!

Color Dare #360

Happy Friday I’m excited to be back on the Design Team for the ¬†Color My Heart Color Dare. ¬† This week our challenge is to pick a row and play Tic Tac Toe!

I chose the Top Row Pansy, Heather and Sugarplum – although these three colors retired from the CTMH lineup on August 31 – I couldn’t resist playing with them one last time.

I used the Dandelion Wishes stamp set and chose to have some seeds floating across the light side of the Sugarplum cardstock. I loved blowing dandelions as a kid, but not so much as an adult when there is a field of yellow in my grass.

There is just one more week for you to purchase items from the Seasonal Expressions 2. This catalog was packed full of fun items including the One Year Older Stamp Set.

One Year Older

This stamp set coordinates with the Thin Cuts – Shaker Window & Confetti and was how I used it for my first card – a birthday card for a special friend turning 74!

Since the stamp set was on my desk I decided to use it to put together a few additional cards for my upcoming Card Palooza.

All the cards were made with the retired I Heart Us paper packet yet they all seem so different. Each of the cards features the color Lagoon, but combined with other colors it can go from masculine to feminine or even a neutral.

I challenge you to look at the SE2 one more time and make sure that you haven’t missed something that you really need to have. Thanks for stopping by.

Charming Borders

Today I’m sharing some bright sunny cards using the Charming Borders stamp set.

Borders don’t just have to be borders…as you can see on my cards I’ve stamped the border stamp all over to get a custom B&T paper.

Have you added the Charming Borders to your shopping cart? What do you plan on using them for?
