Today I’m sharing some bright sunny cards using the Charming Borders stamp set.
Borders don’t just have to be borders…as you can see on my cards I’ve stamped the border stamp all over to get a custom B&T paper.
Have you added the Charming Borders to your shopping cart? What do you plan on using them for?
There is no better way to start a Monday than with a little trouble – A Double Trouble Papercrafting Challenge that is!
Our challenge for the next two weeks (8/5 -8/18 ) is a 3-2-1 Recipe with the fun twist of adding something nautical, you can also get extra points in our prize draw by linking to our Challenge Partner Try Stamping At Tuesday . You can find all the details and link up your creations by visiting our challenge blog.
My card was made using the retired Tommy Paper Packet and the Epic Birthday stamp set. I have been going through my older paper packets and trying to use them up. I’m also trying to restore my birthday card stash for the 2nd half of the year. I really love the sketch from Try Stamping on Tuesday and hope that you will play along too.
Don’t forget to link up and join the fun…everyone needs a little Double Trouble in their life!
Today is your last chance to get the amazing Share the Joy Special.
Share the Joy features two exclusive My Acrylix stamp sets and the exclusive Share the Joy Thin Cuts Bundle. These items can be purchased separately at full price. The Share the Joy Stamp Set Bundle includes both stamp sets and is available at a 20% discount. You can even save 30% when you purchase both stamp sets and the Thin Cuts metal dies together in the Share the Joy Bundle.
I have loved playing with this bundle. You certainly don’t have to fill in all the blank holes with stamping but who wouldn’t want to play with all those cute little stamps. I included colors found in the sweet girl packet along with some Gold Foil and Sugarplum Glitter Paper.

Happy Monday!!! It’s Free For All Monday on Double Trouble so grab your your stuff and create whatever your heart desires! This is a one week special challenge so you have to be quick, won’t you join the fun?
Thing 1 says this is easier than folding a fitted sheet and I have to agree. Twisted Sister has a fun twist to include sunshine or a sunburst on your card. Double Dare is asking us to link up with a previous challenge partner.
My card started with equal sized rectangles cut in half corner to opposite corner and then laid down to create a fun sunburst shape. I stamped the sentiment on the bottom of the white CS and then layered everything on a Sweet Leaf panel that was cut with the Charming Borders die cut, tied up with some Sweet Leaf Ribbon and layered on a white card base.
I hope you’ll choose to come play along – Double Trouble is such a fun way to fill your day!
Happy Monday…it’s all about kids and celebrating on Double Trouble today!
Trouble Maker has asked us to create a birthday or special occasion card or scrapbook for our kids. That got Twisted Sister singing about monkeys which then led her to zoo animals and that’s her twist. Double Dare is daring us to link up with Crafter’s Cafe – sponsors for their challenge are: Scribbles Designs and Eureka Stamps
I picked up the Birthday Gator Image from Eureka Stamps – I originally thought it was a hippo and when I showed hubby my finished card he asked “why’s the hippo green?” Leave me a comment if you vote Gator or Hippo? Whatever it is I thought it would make a fun kids birthday card.
I hope you’ll have some fun with this challenge I look forward to seeing what you create.
It’s another Double Trouble Monday…you’ve got two weeks to play with this fun challenge and if you include all the “twists” you’ll earn extra points in our prize draw.
Poor Trouble Maker lost her mind this week and doesn’t want your background to be blank so she’s challenging us to use a stencil on our project.
Double Dare found us a terrific partner challenge with 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge #27.
Here’s a little fact that if you’ve been following me for anytime you may already know. Twisted Sister has a farm E-I-E-I-O and on that farm she had some cows E-I-E-I-O! That’s right…my challenge this week is to include a Farm Animal on your project.
I grabbed my favorite stamp set from MFT Stamps – The Whole Herd. It has a set of matching die cuts – saves this girl with all that fussy cutting!!! I used a grass stencil on the bottom of my tag, prior to adding my sweet cow and stamped my sentiment on the top of the tag. Unfortunately, it’s never fun with cows get out and it’s a lot of work and no time for partying.
This is the inside of my card has a lone chick watching the feed trough and a great big birthday wish.
I hand delivered the card over the Memorial Day weekend and am happy to say that the recipient was just tickled. It ALWAYS makes me so happy to know that my cards are cherished.
I can’t wait to see what you create for the Double Trouble Challenge – come hang out and add a verse to Twisted Sister’s Farm.
Happy Friday and
welcome to another week of the Color My Heart Color Dare.
Won’t you join the fun in our Love of Color Challenge. We are using the Close to My Heart How To Book Love of Color as our inspiration. This week our challenge features the color Lilac. We provide a board in which you can pick a minimum of three colors from to create your project. We use CTMH color names for reference; however, you are welcome to use any products as long as they are the closest match. Please don’t add any additional colors unless it is noted on the board.
My card inspiration came directly from the Love of Color Lilac page – I chose to use the combination of Lilac, Sweetleaf, Peach, Lagoon & Gold. This color combination just seems fresh like a spring day and will make a great birthday card for my stash.
OK, now it’s YOUR turn! The full details on how to join the fun is in the sidebar of our homepage. Our Weekly Challenges are open for two weeks and you have until Thursday, March 28th to enter Challenge #334
Make sure you check
out what the other design team members have created and leave them a little
love (just as you love comments on your artwork – we love yours too)!
