Our power went off for 2 1/2 hours yesterday while I was in the middle of preparing for my upcoming $5 Card Class. I wasn’t too worried because my craft room has plenty of light, but it did put a stop to my Cricut cutting.
I have recently become enamored with the monochromatic look it just seems like it gives a card such a fresh clean feeling. I love the Dots embossing paired with the seersucker pattern from the Penelope paper packet. The bunny is from one of my favorite sets Spring Critters and it has a Thin Cuts to match – no fussy cutting for this girl. Mine is colored with our Shin Han markers and popped up on 3D Foam Tape.
Thinking about joining my $5 card class – it’s the first Thursday of every month – you’ll go home with three cute cards (in my opinion of course).
Thanks for stopping by…leave me a comment what your favorite animal is from the Spring Critters Set. Don’t have the set yet, just click on the link and it will take you right to the stamp set in my store.
It’s nearly November and that means it’s almost time for my monthly $5.00 card class. Each month you’ll go home with three fun cards – including envelopes for just $5.00. All supplies are pre-cut and ready for your stamping and assembly.
Haven’t been to a $5.00 card class…here’s what you need to bring: Versamat (my tables are bumpy if you want good stamp images this is a must have supply), your favorite adhesive including 3D foam tape (thick and thin) and glue dots. I also recommend bringing scissors and tweezers.
I hope you’ll be able to join me November 5th at either 10AM or 6:30PM. You need to RSVP by October 30th so that I can have your card packets prepared.
September is quickly approaching which means there’s a Card Class right around the corner! September 4th to be exact – 10am or 6:30pm. I’ve had lots of people ask me about my card classes so I thought I’d share a little about what to expect.
What do we do? We have fun – laughter has been heard coming from the craft room (especially during the morning class). You will go home with three completed cards ready to go in the mail or be added to your stash!
What is expected of me as a student? Be prepared with your basic stamping kit (don’t have one let’s get it ordered). Be on time and ready to create. Leave your options open, flip the paper, flip the card…let your creativity flow. Most importantly have fun!!!
What you can expect from me? I will welcome you whether you are a beginner or experienced stamper, I enthusiastically share my love of papercrafting (most of the time). For a $5.00 fee you will receive a packet of precut papers and embellishments to complete your cards. The inks and stamps we use for the cards will be shared among participants. You will receive instruction and help as needed. You are encouraged to let your own creative talent take over.
When does all this happen? Normally there is a monthly $5.00 Card Class held the first Thursday of the month (I ask you to keep a flexible schedule just in case it needs to be changed). There will also be special card classes offered at other times of the month. Join the Royal Court (follow my blog) to keep informed of up to date card classes. You can also “like” my Facebook Page – papercrafting princess.

Close to My Heart introduced an amazingly fun paper packet and matching stamp set for National Scrapbook Month. When I saw this paper and stamp set I immediately thought that a waterfall would be perfect to showcase the fun colors.
I love cards that have movement and although it may seem very detailed, the waterfall card is pretty simple to make. I found a step by step tutorial at Split Coast Stampers and I’ll be teaching it in my card class this month.
During the month of May you can get these bright summer papers for just $8.95 and the matching stamp set for $17.95.
Thanks for stopping by I hope you’ll take advantage of this tasty special.
I am super excited for my December Card Classes…I have these three fun cards featuring products from the Seasonal Expression 1 which went live on December 1st. I love bright spring colors and of course anything to do with LOVE!
If you’d like to learn more about my card classes, please post a comment and include how to contact you.
I had some morning fun with the bulk papers from the Yuletide Carol paper packet. I grabbed several Christmas stamp sets, gold shimmer trim and gold glitter gems and my Desert Sand and Ruby ink pads and set out to create.
The non-traditional colors are always hardest for me to imagine as Christmas cards, but I think the touch of sparkle from the gold was just the right choice.
These four cards will be featured in my upcoming Christmas Card Extravaganza on November 30th. Space is limited so you must RSVP and pay your workshop fee to hold your place by Friday, November 14th.
I’ve been busy designing cards for my November 6th card class, but I can’t decide which ones I want to schedule so it’s going to be a surprise workshop! You will go home with three cards and envelopes for just $15 or free with a $30 order.
My space is limited so sign up quick! Two time slots to choose from.
