I made this card for a challenge on a SU! Consultant’s blog. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I will win a copy of her sketch book. Why you ask? To put it simply, Julie’s cards rock!
I was in the mood to make some valentines and I didn’t have anything current to work with so I grabbed this Nuts about You set a long retired Valentine paper packet and put my thinking cap on. I then grabbed my heart confetti punch and made some hearts that I could glue onto the tree. My inside sentiment (handwritten) reads – there’s nobody I’d rather hang out with.
It’s December…actually it’s December 7th and I’m not sure where this year has gone. I always try and do a December Daily Album and I get about a week into it and life takes over. This year, Close to My Heart is giving me a little incentive to continue the venture. Their #ctmhcountdown on Instagram gives me a chance to get a daily prompt AND the opportunity to WIN!
Can you figure out what the daily prompts were from looking at my pictures?
I’m super excited that I’ve made it this far (and yes today’s post has been made) and hope to continue the journey. Christmas is no longer my favorite time of the year so I’m trying my hardest to make the best of things this year…maybe it’s just the push I need.
I grabbed another packet of retired paper to play with – I heard the Fed Ex guy was delivering more today!
Don’t these fun colors just scream summertime? See the beach balls? It’s the zip strip from the top of the B & T works perfect as an accent. Not only had I been hogging the paper, but apparently the accents as the cute wooden button matches perfectly.
Leave the name of the paper packet in the comments section and I will draw from all the correct entries for a set of four cards made with this paper by me on Friday, June 13th!
