Our challenge for the next two weeks (11/18-12/1) is Bring On the Glitz with the fun twist of adding a snow person, you can also get extra points in our prize draw by linking to our Challenge Partner Cupcake Inspirations. You can find all the details and link up your creations by visiting our challenge blog.

My card is actually a fun treat holding a packet of Hot Chocolate, because afterall if you’re gonna play with snowmen you need to warm up when you’re finished. I embossed my background with the Snowflakes embossing folder – it’s got all sizes and shapes of snowflakes and might be my favorite embossing folder ever! I didn’t want to cover up all the snowflake B&T from the Holly Jolly paper packet so I kept my sentiment simple and to the right of the snowman instead of all the way across the band. It’s difficult to see, but delightful in person, I used the shimmer brush on the snowman and then lots of silver glitter gems to keep my card glistening.

Double Trouble – #42

You should know that all kinds of trouble can happen within the Double Trouble Papercrafting Challenge Design Team including starting a Monday Challenge on a Friday but that’s what you get at – A Double Trouble Papercrafting Challenge!

Our challenge for the next two weeks 11/1-11/17 has us in stitches with the fun twist of adding a hot beverage (coffee, tea, cocoa), we have no specific partner this challenge, however if you’d like you can link up the first week with the Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Blog Hop for extra points. You’ll find all the details at the Double Trouble Papercrafting Challenge Blog.

My card features the multi square windows thin cuts…I love this for backgrounds. I chose a Christmas themed cup using stamps from the Share the Seasons stamp set and Perk Up Stamp & Thin Cut from Close to My Heart.

Double Trouble #41

Our challenge for the next two weeks (10/21-11/3) is a Halloween Color Challenge with the fun twist of adding something that flies, you can also get extra points in our prize draw by linking to our Challenge Partner Crafting Happiness . You can find all the details and link up your creations by visiting our challenge blog,

My card features a little old and a little new. I used the Seasonal Mix Ins selecting Julep (Green), Purple & Orange from Trouble Makers Rainbow of Bats. I decided that a bat would represent my flying object, but then I took it a step farther and my wiper card makes the sentiment “fly” as well.

Double Trouble #40

There is no better way to start a Monday than with a little trouble – A Double Trouble Papercrafting Challenge that is!

Our challenge for the next two weeks 10/7-10/20 is masking with the fun twist of adding something you’d find in a pumpkin patch for example: a pumpkin, a scarecrow, or maybe even a trick or treater! Have you ever been to a masquerade ball? I think that’s how my card must have felt with all these sticky notes stuck to it. I use sticky notes that are full page sticky so I get good coverage for my masks. I was watching a video from Jennifer McGuire and she talked about masking paper and I think I might have to give it a try – it appears a bit larger than my 3X3 notes. Her card inspired me and they aren’t completely alike, but they are quite similar.

So I started my card by cutting a stitched rectangle from the largest of the Close to My Heart Stitched Rectangle Thin Cuts. I then placed it in my Misti and placed a circle die where I wanted my spotlight area to be. I then placed my pumpkin and stamped him several times in intense black ink and then colored it in with my Tri-blend markers. After it was colored I added the sentiment and placed the masks. When you use a die cut for a mask you end up with a small shadow of white around the image, but I didn’t care. Then I started by swirling Sweet Leaf ink all over inside the circle mask. To finish things off I added two bitty sparkles (one to each end of the sentiment) because a little bling never hurt anything.

So what do you think of my finished card? Do you think this is a project you would try?
