Double Trouble – #98

It’s time for more trouble…Double Trouble Papercrafting Challenge that is.

Our challenge consists of three parts: Trouble Makers main challenge, Double Dares challenge to link with another blog which you may or may not decided to participate in and Twisted Sisters surprise challenge! You can find all the details on the rules page of the challenge blog.

This week the challenge is a Something, Anything, Everything challenge with Twisted Sisters unusual twist of choosing ANYTHING FROM MY CARD.

“This Twist is on you… choose at least one element from my card below and include it on your project!  You may repeat my colors, my images, my shapes, my layout, or my embellishments. Choose at least one element, i.e. dry embossing, snowflakes, twine, plaid, banner, cookies/sweets, dots, etc.  Don’t keep us guessing… tell us what element(s) you selected as YOUR TWIST and include in your post description!
This is an OPTIONAL TWIST but you will be awarded an additional chance in Double Trouble’s random draw.   Additionally, I have some Blog Candy I want to give away… Leave a comment on my blog HERE and you will be eligible for another random draw prize.”

I am in love with the Macaron stamp set…not such a big fan of the cookie themselves, but the fun colors that they come in led me to create a sweet Christmas themed card for a friend.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card and will consider joining our challenge. If you’d like more inspiration visit my team members at Double Trouble and team up with one of our previous partners for an extra chance at our random draw.

Double Trouble – 97B

I’m pretty sure that Trouble Maker is going to choke me if I don’t get this post up, but good things come to those that wait and well now that I’m in Arizona (the same state as Trouble Maker) I decided I better get with it. She doesn’t scare me much two states away, but being an hour away that’s an entirely different scenario 🤣

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card and will consider joining our challenge. If you’d like more inspiration visit my team members at Double Trouble and our partner Try Stamping on Tuesday.

Thanks for being patient as I settle in to a new routine in our winter home.

I played with black & white and CTMH color of the year Wild Berry for a pop of color.

DOUBLE TROUBLE PERKS… In addition to our normal random draw prize, we have included Blog Candy in Things 1, 2, and 3.

You are here:  Twisted Sister (Tracey) says did you enter Thing 1’s challenge to enter a coffee themed card? When you follow my blog and leave me a comment on this post you’ll be entered into my random drawing for blog candy.

This week the challenge is to create a tall & skinny card with at least one die cut and a twist to focus on the letter T. We also ask that you play along with Ellebelle’s Crafty Challenge.

First of all my tall & skinny card is a mere 3 1/8 x 6 1/4, but it’s taller and skinnier than my standard A2 card. I wasn’t sure what to do with the background so I grabbed a CTMH Originals Card Making How To Book and gained some inspiration from a 3.5 x 8.5 card with a little math I was on my way! I used scraps from a Pumpkin Spice paper pack and die cut a panel with the Stitched Rectangles to stamp on. Working with the colors from the papers I grabbed a retired stamp set and made a pretty fall almost leafless tree. A simple strip of Wild Berry Shimmer Trim peeks out from behind the stamped panel and a wooden heart is nestled in the leaves near the sentiment.

This Challenge is one of my favorites because Trouble Maker can’t tell me what to do…it’s a Something, Anything, Everything Challenge.

I took inspiration from the Close to My Heart Seasonal Catalog and joined used the sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #438. I used Mulberry cardstock cut with the Stitched Lattice Background Thin Cut, added a tag from the Mix In collection and die cut and colored images from the Pumpkin Treats stamp set.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card and will consider joining our challenge. If you’d like more inspiration visit my team members at Double Trouble.

This week the challenge is to use a fun fold – there’s a list of tutorials on our DT blog, but there’s lots of options out there so give it a try! The second part of our challenge is to chose a color from our Play Doh color palette.

I chose to use the CTMH Waterfall Thincut to create a fun interactive card. I had so many ideas running through my head for color combos that I finally just settled for this retired Craft On paper from CTMH that had a fun palette of Play Doh like colors!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card and will consider joining our challenge. If you’d like more inspiration visit my team members at Double Trouble and our partner team The Creative Creases #14.

Double Trouble

Trouble Maker and I were texting the other day and she said she’d really like to see one of my cards on the DT Challenge…I hemmed and hawed and then she said those 4 magic words, “it’s a fun-fold.”

You guessed it, I couldn’t resist!

This card is called a Double Peek-a-Boo and it’s basically a standard card with an opening in the front where you can see through to a second card inside.

I’m concentrating on making some cards for the kiddos in my life that I’ve missed so much since this pandemic started. This retired Stargazer paper and stamp is one of my favorites! I used sparkles and bitty sparkles as accents to mimic stars. Oh and the astronaut is mounted on a spring so he has a little motion like he’s floating in space.

So how’d I do? Does it make it want to grab some paper and give this fun-fold a try?

Thanks for stopping by!

Challenge #63 is celebrating the Dog Days of Summer requiring the use of embossing on your card. If you include a Critter (Twisted Sister is specifically asking for a DOG) you’ll also be able to link with our challenge blog partner. All the details are right here on the blog post!

Our granddaughter just talked her mom into a new puppy…after just telling my husband that we weren’t getting any more dogs after ours was gone I have to admit that “Lola” has my heart! I was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest and used two different embossing folders. I grabbed a stamp set in my MFT Stash and colored in just like the picture her mom sent me.

Double Trouble #62

I’m late, I’m late for a very important date…

I was on the road home from Arizona for 8 days and although the top priority on my list was getting into my Craft Coop, my husband thought unloading the trailer and doing some chores trumped that. I didn’t think I better pull the “whatever card” so I did a little laundry, canned some peaches and hung out with friends that we hadn’t seen in 6 weeks!

When I was leaving Arizona, I ran across this cute little gnome that told me he was celebrating Christmas in July in the Grand Canyon State and he needed some cool treats to cool him down.

Double Dare teamed us up with Heart2Heart who’s having a favorite tool challenge. Since I’ve been stamping for a very long time I have many favorite tools, but my BIG SHOT is probably my favorite because I HATE fussy cutting!

I hope you’ll come play along with us at Double Trouble and link with our partner Heart2Heart Challenges.
