Double Trouble #31

It’s time for a little trouble again…

The card I had for this week’s challenge hit a bit of a snag on Friday night when the Double Trouble Team discovered I had no embossing…I should have fixed it right then, but with a busy weekend it was a trek to the Craft Coop at 6AM!

Trouble Maker asked us to include Dry or Heat Embossing on our card so this morning I added a panel of arrows behind my VW van that’s headed to the beach for holiday/vacation. My optional twist was to include a sign that you’d see on your vacation travels. If I was on vacation today I’d be on Happy Street!!! Double Dare led us down the path to Pile It On and their Transportation/Vacation theme. Their theory is to create projects for more than one challenge so if you’re entering ours you already qualify to enter theirs!

I hope you’ll forgive me for being tardy…I’ll work on making sure my challenges are on time and completed correctly in the future!

Double Trouble #30

It’s another Double Trouble Monday…you’ve got two weeks to play with this fun challenge and if you include all the “twists” you’ll earn extra points in our prize draw.

Poor Trouble Maker lost her mind this week and doesn’t want your background to be blank so she’s challenging us to use a stencil on our project.

Double Dare found us a terrific partner challenge with 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge #27.

Here’s a little fact that if you’ve been following me for anytime you may already know. Twisted Sister has a farm E-I-E-I-O and on that farm she had some cows E-I-E-I-O! That’s right…my challenge this week is to include a Farm Animal on your project.

I grabbed my favorite stamp set from MFT Stamps – The Whole Herd. It has a set of matching die cuts – saves this girl with all that fussy cutting!!! I used a grass stencil on the bottom of my tag, prior to adding my sweet cow and stamped my sentiment on the top of the tag. Unfortunately, it’s never fun with cows get out and it’s a lot of work and no time for partying.

This is the inside of my card has a lone chick watching the feed trough and a great big birthday wish.

I hand delivered the card over the Memorial Day weekend and am happy to say that the recipient was just tickled. It ALWAYS makes me so happy to know that my cards are cherished.

I can’t wait to see what you create for the Double Trouble Challenge – come hang out and add a verse to Twisted Sister’s Farm.

Double Trouble #29

Happy Monday…it’s time for some more trouble!

This week Double Trouble #29 challenge Trouble Maker challenges us to use Kraft paper or even a paper bag for our project. Double Dare found a fun sketch at Try Stamping On Tuesday so if you need a little inspiration the sketch is over on our home page. For an added twist you’ll get an extra entry into our random draw if you include a strawberry on your project!

I used a pattern for a Center Step card and featured a basket full of strawberries. I hope you’ll come join the fun. Our challenges are open for two weeks. You’ll find all the details on our homepage at Double Trouble Challenge Blog.

Double Double Trouble

Welcome to a Double Double Trouble – which I’m also in since we usually post on Monday’s and this week it was Friday!

Trouble Maker asked us to use a spring/summer thing and since I’m in hot water it reminded me that a nice beverage (hot or cold) would be a good twist!  Double Dare has a “double dare” for us this week to link with Three Amigos or the Spring Summer Coffee Lovers Blog (or both) the details are on our challenge post that you’ll find by clicking here!

I fell in love with this cute coffee set from Birdie Brown “Friends at First Sip” which I purchased from My Favorite Things Stamps.  I couldn’t resist adding the cute dog which I colored like my own Scuttlebutt!

My favorite drink is an Iced Vanilla Americano with a healthy splash of cream – year round!  When I worked full time I drank a mocha everyday until I started thinking about all those calories.  I’m also a huge fan of  Sweet Tea (thanks to my Texan sis-in-law for introducing me to it.)

I hope you’ll join the fun at Double Trouble, Three Amigos and the Coffee Blog Hop and while you’re at it leave me a comment with what your favorite drink is!

Double Trouble #27

It’s ALWAYS a free for all when Double Trouble finds a month with a fifth week! It doesn’t matter what you link up, it just has to be a new project so get busy and CREATE!!!

Trouble Maker & Double Dare accused me of babbling, but now I’m at a loss for words so my twist is to make a WORD the focus of your project. You can use stamps, pattern papers, one word or many – just have some fun!

Double Dare also challenges us to link up to one of our previous partners so run over to the homepage of our blog and take a look at what other challenges are going on.

I decided that I would play along with the Color My Heart Color Dare. I’m on a bit of a hiatus from the Design Team, but I wanted to make sure they didn’t forget that I existed – like that would ever happen, LOL! The colors this week are from the Love of Color (you have to pick at least 3) I chose Lagoon, Sapphire, Ballerina and Candy Apple and added some silver embellishments.

I can’t wait to see what you create for our Free For All Challenge…hopefully you’ll be indulging me with a bunch of words!

Double Trouble #25

Cupcakes? Did someone say cupcakes? Chocolate with chocolate frosting and sprinkles are my favorite…not just any sprinkles, but those flat pastel disc shaped sprinkles. Oh, that’s right, Trouble Maker told me to stay focused…ok, ok!

Welcome to Monday’s Double Trouble Challenge…I’ve been listening to the Trogg’s “Wild Thing” and I guess I just get all sidetracked. This week Trouble Maker is challenging us to get “groovy” and use woodgrain, something related to wood, wood embellishments, trees, etc on our project. When it came my turn to add a twist all I could think of was “wild things” and to keep myself out of trouble I suggested “woodland creatures”…isn’t that a good twist? Ha Ha…I bet Trouble Maker and Double Dare didn’t even catch on. Speaking of Double Dare she found the yummiest challenge – Cupcake Challenge #467.

They have the cutest inspiration photo that fit right with our challenge.

The first thing I thought about when I saw that photo was the cute little fox stamp that’s been sitting quietly in my bin. I grabbed some retired papers with leaves and embellished with a little cork leaf.

Won’t you come play along with us at Double Trouble and draw some inspiration from the Cupcake Inspirations?

Double Trouble Challenge #23

It’s time for some more trouble…Double Trouble that is!  This week the team at Double Trouble is pairing up with Heart to Heart to bring you lots of Irish fun as we get ready for St. Patrick’s Day!  Won’t you come check out our challenge by clicking here!

Now for what you’ve been waiting for…

It seems as though I’ve caught the bottom half of a leprechaun on my fun St. Patrick’s themed card.  I’ve been wanting to use this cute elf image from the retired Season of Joy CTMH Cricut Cartridge and I thought it would work perfectly for this card.  I cut the image from several shades of green cardstock and gold foil and added gold sparkles to the toes of his boots.

I hope you’ll come join the fun at Double Trouble – it’s the most trouble you can get into without going to jail!
