I’m not sure where January went, but it seems like I didn’t write nearly enough good things about the January SOTM – even though I spent lots of time creating not everything made it to the blog. It seems as though Facebook and Instagram get the most attention from me – they are fast and easy!
I wanted to pop in today – the last day of January with a quick reminder that if you didn’t get the January Stamp of the Month Card Captions – you still have today to get it purchased!
Even though the title is Card Captions – it’s definitely more than that! I found these cute Valentine pens at the Dollar Store (I think there is 8 or 12 in the package) and I knew I had to figure out something cute to make with them.
This little post it note holder was so much fun to make and it comes with a place to hold that pen too! It’s really quite easy to make and even funner to decorate! I kept everything flat in case the recipient wants to carry it in her purse, but it would look totally great on a desk too! The papers are from the Heart Happy Special that will make all your Valentine making easy!
I hope you’ll consider popping over to my webpage to place an order…it would sure make my heart happy!
Yesterday I showed you this picture of products I’m donating to an upcoming school auction and asked if you could identify all the products. Today I’m going to reveal those products here.
Everything can be purchased from my webpage – if you have any questions or need help finding the products please feel free to reach out to me in the comment section.
The retail total of these items was just under $90…this would be a great starter gift. I love putting together product bundles…let me know your budget and I’ll help you get started. It certainly doesn’t cost a lot to get started with this hobby and you’ll have years of fun!
I am donating a basket of Close to My Heart Products to a school auction. The total was just under $90 before shipping and tax – on paper it didn’t look like enough, but yesterday when the box arrived I was pleasantly surprised.
The items I picked are all from the Seasonal Expressions 1 catalog which you can get for free when you place an order from my webpage. I thought it might be fun to play a little game and see if you can name everything that you see.
I will give you the first item, because it’s hard to identify in the photo – you can leave a comment below if you think you have everything figured out.
There shouldn’t be any doubt that I love playing with Black, White & Gold. It’s such an elegant color combination. I had some fun playing with the Silver & Gold Paper packet today and since I wanted to update my Display Tray (long retired) I took a few minutes to do that as well.
On the bottom left corner I added a piece of Zip Strip & Gold Shimmer Trim cut into banners and a Gold Foil die cut heart. The “love” in the upper right hand corner was cut with the Flower Market Cricut cartridge.
Even though a lot of the papers in this kit are theme specific there are still plenty to use without feeling Christmas.
Thanks for stopping by. Make sure you come by later this week to see what else I’ve been up too!

I thought I’d pop in on a Friday morning with a fun gift box idea. I needed a fun way to display a movie gift card and saw a cute idea on Pinterest, so I grabbed my Artiste cartridge and started cutting away.
I used paper straws to hold up my gift card and shapes. I think I’ll be using this idea in card form too so stay tuned!
Thanks for stopping by on a Friday…enjoy your weekend.
Hi and happy Friday! It’s funny how fast the week flies by! I didn’t get a lot of time in the craft room this week, but I am super excited about my Featured Friday project.
I saw a cute handbag on Pinterest made out of black and white papers, it immediately took me on a La Vie En Rose field trip in my mind. I love the striking colors of black and white you can do so many things with them.
Both the handbag and the rosette are from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge. I thought about sizing the rosette down after I got it made, but I wanted it like one of those great big flowers that little girls where in their hair.
The trick to rosette’s (or at least the way I make them is to use a bone folder on the folds to get it nice and crisp. I also have 2 one inch punched circles which are covered in a strong adhesive (they are black in the above picture) which I put on both sides to hold the rosette in place. I know consultants that use Liquid Glass, but this works for me so it’s what I stick with 🙂
I finished my little black handbag off with a pink and black pennant tucked under a Happy Day medalion stamped in Pixie ink. The black flag seemed to get lost a little so I put a little gold puffies on it and tied the opposite handle with a piece of thick twine. It’s all ready to get filled and given for Mother’s Day!
Thanks for stopping by. Let me know if you are enjoying the Featured Friday posts by leaving a comment. See you soon!
