Happy Friday and welcome to another week of the Color My Heart Color Dare. This week we are featuring the colors: Sugarplum, Fern & Eggplant.
OK, now it’s YOUR turn! The full details on how to join the fun is in the sidebar of our homepage. Each color dare is open for two weeks, so I hope you’ll come play along!
You’ll find lots of inspiration over at the Color My Heart Color Dare homepage by the other design team members so head over there and take a look and leave them a little love.
I’m sure you’ve heard the news that July is Stampaganza at Close to My Heart…buy two stamp sets get the third for free and that the SOLO Alphabet & Numbers stamp sets have been brought out of retirement for this special sale.
These stamps have long been a favorite and I’ve kicked myself time and time again that I didn’t buy the entire set when it was available. You can be sure I’m not going to let that opportunity pass me by this time. Each letter has a large bold and small sized lower case along with coordinating words that start with that letter and some fun shapes to play with too. Each number features both a large bold and small sized number along with the number in word form and words and images to match.
I gave some new life to the Solo T today pairing it with the soft colors from Central park. Don’t you just love that pop of Willow combined with the soft colors of Bashful & Glacier? This is one of my favorite patterns from Make It From Your Heart Volume 4, but I added a stitched circle & a banner to dress it up. A few sparkles adorn the letter to finish off the card.
The Solo stamps are perfect for both card making and scrapbooking – how cute would a baby album featuring month by month pictures be or even a big bold letter with someone’s name next to their picture.
Both the Solos Alphabet and Solo Numbers are available in a money saving bundle of 40% OFF the retail price, but they are only available through the month of July so make sure to get yours ordered today from my web-page http://www.papercraftingprincess.ctmh.com
Already one week into June…time needs to S-L-O-W down!
This week the Color My Heart Color Dare Design Team is featuring the colors Toffee, Juniper and Pomegranate. Such pretty colors to work with.
I’m trying to build my stash of thank you and birthday cards, but it seems like it’s a never ending battle! Like I said last week I really like the In My Heart card making kit sentiments so here I am again with a different layout. The wood panel at the bottom of the card might be a far stretch at Toffee, but I just had to use it. I also stamped the small THANKS banner in Toffee and cut it out and layered it over a piece of wood-grain banner which I stamped in Juniper and then trimmed. I tied a little bit of Juniper Thick Twine into a knot and frayed the ends to add some dimension.
Now it’s your turn to come play along. You’ll find the rules for the Color Dare here. When you visit our home page – make sure you visit each of the Design Teams pages and leave them a comment. We each work hard to bring you lots of inspiration each week and it’s nice to get some “love”.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have you visited the Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge yet? I’m Guest Designing for the month of September so I’m here to hound you again! Get linked up people!!!
The Falling for You papers are so fun to work with now that the weather has turned a bit chilly – everything feels like leaves and pumpkins!
Seaglass was a tough act to follow but Close to My Heart’s Color of the Year Bashful has taken a front row on my craft desk. I’ve actually got tired of hopping up and getting it so I gave it along with the matching glitter paper a place of it’s own.
If you order during the month of September it’s likely you’ll find this card in your bag (or mailbox if you order directly from my webpage.) It’s one of my favorite sizes 4.75 X 3 – I can get 4 out of one sheet of cardstock. That rich yummy brown is Espresso one of the new additions to our recently redesigned basics palette. It’s difficult to see in the photo, but the arrow under the sentiment is stamped in Bashful – both of these stamps are from the September Stamp of the Month Feel So Blessed.
Do you like little cards? Leave me a comment and I’ll drop a card in the mail to you. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and make sure you visit the Three Amigos Blog Hop.
This years Close to My Heart Color of the year, Bashful, pairs so nicely with the new updated Basics Family.
My Color Club members receive the pieces to make an exclusive card each month in their color kit. This month’s card features the Happy Heart and Ink Splash stamp sets.
Thanks for stopping by…have a great weekend!
September’s stamp of the month is a versatile set that will carry your gratitude throughout the fall. This special D sized stamp set is only available during the month of September and is just $5 with a qualifying purchase.
My card features a base of the new Color of the Year Bashful which looks so striking against the Charcoal dot of the Basic Fundamentals. I then embossed the thanks and feathers on Eggplant with silver embossing powder. If you know me you know that fussy cutting is not my thing, but I will admit, the feathers were not too bad to cut out. Although it looks like the twine is holding them together it is actually just attached with a mini glue dot.
I hope you’ll consider adding the September Stamp of the Month to your shopping cart this month, you’ll find it perfect for everything from cards, scrapbook pages and maybe you’ll even consider a gratitude book.
Take a minute and leave me a comment and let me know what you think of my card.
I was asked and very honored by my friend Susan Fogle at Paper Menagerie to be a guest designer over on the Three Amigos Blog Hop. The Falling for You papers are such a great way to start September so of course I jumped at the chance to start creating with them.
These fall colors work so perfectly with our Basics Palette and Color of the Year Bashful. I used Toffee as my base and Espresso to highlight the Bashful. The Thankful was cut using one of the new thin cuts dies. I also used a retired die to cut the heart outline in Bashful Glitter Paper. A sprinkling of Falling for You sequins bring a little balance to the card.
I hope you’ll hop on over to the Three Amigos Blog Hop to see what the wonderful ladies there have created, you will be falling for them in no time. I’ll be sharing some more projects this month using these papers so please make sure you click the button on my sidebar to follow my blog.
Thanks so much for stopping by I hope you’ll take some time to leave me a comment and then start creating with the Falling for You papers and link up at The Three Amigos.
