Birthday Party in a Box

One of my favorite things to do is surprise someone with a homemade birthday card, what’s even more fun is when you send them an entire party in a box!

I made this cute box card using cuts from the Cricut so although it’s full of details it didn’t take much time.  In my humble opinion there are no better colors for a birthday than the Adventure color family.

I reached for solid cardstock  and fun patterns from the Fundamentals Paper Collection to complete my card.  With 24 12X12 sheets (2 each of 12 designs) you have plenty to choose from to make completing cohesive projects easier than ever before.  Priced at just $19.95 they are a terrific basic for your scrapbooking or card-making needs.  They also have matching complements and ribbon – woohoo!

If you’d like to learn more about the fundamental line please let me know the patterns are so much fun to play with.

Thanks for stopping by…I look forward to hearing your comments on this card.

Birthday Sparkle – Color Dare #226

Happy Friday and welcome to another week of the Color My Heart Color Dare.  This week we are featuring  the colors: Glacier, Peacock, Black & White Daisy.

My card features a base of Glacier cardstock with the bold striped Peacock & White Daisy from the Enchantment Fundamentals, a center panel of Black and a White Banner cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  I colored my sentiment with my Peacock Green ShinHan Touch Twin Marker.  My embellishments come from the Good Life Complements pack.  They are teal glitter chipboard pieces which add a little sparkle and some texture.  I love our complements for card-making as well as scrapbooking!

OK, now it’s YOUR turn!  The full details on how to join the fun is in the sidebar of our homepage.  Each color dare is open until 9:00 CDT on Thursday!

No automatic alt text available.

While at the homepage – check out what the other design team members have created and leave them a little love (comments make our day)!

Do you ever use our pattern books?  The Make It From Your Heart Vol 1 & 2 have a permanent home on my desk.  Each volume has 12  card patterns along with 16 2-page layouts for your starting point.

Box Card Bonanza

Several days ago I saw a cute box card posted by Paige Dolecki – Stampologist she mentioned that she was using a new Cricut cartridge and with my love of box cards, I hurried over to Amazon and snagged it!  It’s the first non-CTMH cartridge that I’ve bought.

I grabbed a retired paper pack and played around with this Birthday Box.  After a little frustration I texted Paige who promptly face-timed with me and got me on the right track.

I think I have a little more work to do with the assembly, but I am pretty happy with my first attempt – much easier than free handing all the pieces 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today!

Mini Love

I love mini albums…they are perfect for small gifts, using as brag books and of course just to remember special times.  Close to My Heart offers several styles and I thought the Hip Pics album was my favorite until the My Creations Mini Folio was introduced to my life.

This sweet little mini album has 5 4X4 Kraft accordion fold panels to decorate any way you want.  It’s Kraft hard cover keeps everything safely tucked away and tied up with a cute little black string around a plastic tab.

Miss B recently entered double digits and after her party we sat down together and picked her favorite pictures and then I ordered them in Studio J in just the right sizes without having to do extra cropping! Cuts from the Artbooking cartridge added a little whimsy.  It’s now ready to go in the mail as a surprise for our sweet girl so she can have those memories close at hand.

I hope you’ve enjoyed stopping by today if you’d like to purchase a Mini Folio click here I promise it’s the best $4.95 you’ll ever spend and with Mother’s and Father’s  Day just around the corner it’s a special way to show a little love.
