There is no better way to start a Monday than with a little trouble – A Double Trouble Papercrafting Challenge that is…it’s a pretty good way to wrap up a Thursday of crafting too!
I’ve been missing in Double Trouble Land for quite some time…decided that I wanted to give up my seat on the DT and turn things over to my twin…I’m sure she’ll do a good job, I will hopefully find time along my journeys to play along.
The challenge this week is to include at least one spring item on your card, a twist of adding a bee and to link up with Bitten By the Bug. I grabbed a retired paper packet (I’m trying to bust my stash while I’m in Stay Healthy, Stay Home mode) and the multi-square die from Close to My Heart and the Share the Joy stamp set. I quickly colored all my images with the tri-blend markers and then layered on my banners. I decided to give things a light touch of clear Shimmer Pen, but it’s so hard to see in a picture.
Don’t forget to link up and join the fun…everyone needs a little Double Trouble in their life!
This Double Trouble gig has hooked me up with a couple of new challenges and I wanted to see what I could come up with that would fit several of them.
First of all our challenge at Double Trouble is to NOT use patterned paper and we are teamed up with The Three Amigos to use a manual or machine die cut. I stumbled across another challenge called Bitten By The Bug 2 (you have use a Cricut cut) with a Fathers Day theme and I also saw a male theme at Always Fun Challenge.
I think I got them all!
I knew I wanted a guitar and I found it on Cricut Design Space it’s from Rock Princess, but cut in masculine colors! The background ink splotches are a retired Close to My Heart set called Brush Strokes and the sentiment is also a retired set called Happy Everything.
If you’ve never participated in a challenge I’d like to “challenge you” to give it a try. It really is a fun way to get some inspiration in card making.
Thanks so much for stopping by…I hope you’ll take a minute to leave me a comment, I read each and everyone of them.
