You can only use Red with accents of Black & White – no other colors no other neutrals. I grabbed a Candy Apple B&T from a retired Christmas packet and cut a strip of black that I ran through the big shot to get stitched X’s. The firetruck is mounted with thin 3D foam tape on a white stitched circle that is matted with a black circle. Two black dots finish off my card.
It’s been lots of fun being able to spend uninterrupted time in the Craft-Coop during the Stay Home, Stay Healthy order. What have you been doing with your extra time at home?
It’s a special week at Double Trouble (9-30 thru 10-6) is our Something, Anything, Everything Challenge with the fun twist of making PINK your prominent color to help us celebrate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, you can also get extra points in our prize draw by linking to one of our previous challenge partners. My card is a fancy fold card with my favorite combination of Ballerina & Black. The big bold flower flips open from a fancy fold card to display the first sentiment and then an additional sentiment is inside the card with room to write a message and sign your name.
I hope you’ll come play along with our short week, but extremely fun challenge. Don’t forget to link up and join the fun…everyone needs a little Double Trouble in their life!
Join our fun Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge using colors from”I Heart Us” paper pack … first choose a row, column or diagonal and include choice in your post … and then feel free to use “only” additional Colors in the Board below. I chose to use the February Stamp of the month for my card…it’s a big bold stamp that works well for the Spotlight technique. I stamped the image in black twice and figured out what part I wanted to highlight I then cut that image from one of my images colored it and added it to a Mint stitched circle. A Black Glitter Paper Scalloped banner finished off the card.
OK, now it’s YOUR turn! The full details on how to join the fun is in the sidebar of our homepage. Our Weekly Challenges are open for two weeks and you have until Thursday, February 28th to enter Challenge #330

Well, looks like we all survived our lucky number week and it’s time for more fun!!!
I just found out that I made the Naughty List…seems that November rolls around and I’m always trying to explain to Santa! I’m sure it’s who I hang out with so if you include something that “hangs” – Christmas Lights, Ornament, Stocking, etc in your design your sure to get an extra entry into our drawing for a bag of things and might just make the nice list too!
Double Trouble Challenge #14 has us pairing up with Try Stamping on Tuesday – they have a fun Tic Tac Tuesday challenge that Double Dare has asked us to link up to! Trouble Maker had already asked us to do a holiday card so I killed two birds with one stone.
I chose the diagonal row starting in the upper left hand corner: Green, Trees & Plaid. I liked the combination of black & white plaid with the bright willow green. It had a bit of a modern Christmas twist. I kept my stamping simple using a retired CTMH Stamp of the Month from 2012 a tree branch with an ornament for my “hanging option”
Here’s the Tic Tac Tuesday board…I can’t wait to see what row you choose.
Make sure you pop on over to Double Trouble to see what the heck is going on – we had a Crazy Cousin (Guest Designer) stop by for the month of November and she’s bringing all kinds of goodies with her.
Welcome to another week of the Color My Heart Color Dare. This week it’s Tic Tac Toe…one of our most popular weeks at the Color Dare. It’s really quite easy – we provide the board you decide which colors you want to use.
There are so many fun combinations I had a hard time deciding what I was going to do, but I finally settled on a card for an October Birthday and created with Black, Lemon & Nectarine the Vertical Row on the right side.
Although no longer in the catalog the Sweet Birthday stamp set and thin cuts are still available in my online shopping section here. This is such a fun set and the cupcake can be decorated with sprinkles or a cute smile too!
There are so many fun cards made by the Design Team this week you really need to head over and take a look.
OK, now it’s YOUR turn! The full details on how to join the fun is in the sidebar of our homepage. Each color dare is open until 9:00 CDT on Thursday!
The Color My Heart Color Dare has a brand new challenge – 9 squares of color and you can pick just three in a row – It’s a Tic Tac Toe Color Dare!!!
I struggled a bit with the January stamp of the month and didn’t create a lot with it. It’s a great stamp set, but it just didn’t speak clearly to me. I decided that if I was going to create with it – today would be a good day.
I chose the color combination of Fern, Juniper and Black and another pattern from the Make It From Your Heart Volume 4.
A recent technique that I’ve been using is to layer a piece of white cardstock to my base so that I have a place to tuck my ribbon and keep it hidden. It also adds a little support to your cards. I keep a few pieces cut (1/4 inch smaller than my card) and ready to go. You can use any color of cardstock, but I really like the white on white look. I usually attach it with some thin 3D foam tape.
Make sure you get your January Stamp of the Month ordered soon – there’s just a few more days and it will be gone for good.
