The Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge has another awesome sketch challenge this week. I’m not sure how Michelle keeps coming up with them, but the inspiration is delightful.
I didn’t really want to work with flowers and had seen a cute card on Pinterest that I thought would work for this sketch. Since we also have a huge amount of Mason Bees buzzing around the farm I reached for my Hexagons stamp set and Buzz and Bumble accessories. I spent 20 minutes looking for my Buzz and Bumble paper, but wasn’t able to find it. Hmmm, Kraft paper and Chocolate Ink to the rescue!
I kept the inside simple only lining the bottom with Scallop Punched Gold Shimmer Trim. Here’s a hint, leave the lining on while you punch!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog I hope you’ll hop over the the AHSC to see what the amazing design team has been up to and if they recovered from their 100th Sketch last week.
Because my sentiment worked better, I rotated the sketch 180 degrees.
I am doing a drawing for this card…all you have to do is start following my blog and leave a comment or stop by my Facebook page (Papercrafting Princess) like the page and leave a comment on the post with the picture. Drawing will be held on Friday, October 4th 8AM.
Supplies used are the Buzz and Bumble Workshop on the Go which is a retired Close to My Heart Product. If you’d like to stop by my business page www.papercraftingprincess.ctmh.com you’ll be able to see what current workshops on the go are available! Most kits are just $29.95 and include a D sized stamp set, paper pack and embellishment kit.
Welcome to March on the Paper Trail where the bees are buzzing, if you’ve made your way here from Lynne’s Fields Finery you are on the right path, if you are starting here don’t worry we are a circular hop just bumble along and you’ll soon find your way back here full of all kinds of ideas for this new paper packet from Close to My Heart. Buzz and Bumble appealed to me from the minute I opened my Idea Book…with it’s Cocoa and Champagne neutrals to the Goldrush, Creme Brulee, Sunset and Sweetleaf touches who could not fall in love with this paper?!
I had a great time creating with this paper. My first feature is an accordion card…I love cards that have movement or some element that is different from the standard opening card. I have included views of it both closed and open, the band on the front hides the inside sentiment.
My second card is a 6 X 6 … I love this size card as it gives so much presentation. The 6 X 6 cards featured in both the Originals and Wishes Pattern Books would also lend themselves to being transformed into a scrapbook page.
I hope you have enjoyed your visit to my site this month, I hope that you’ll bookmark it and come back often. Now head on over to The Wizard’s Hangout where I am sure Vicki has amazing art waiting for you!
