Hi and welcome to another week of the Color My Heart Color Dare. This week we are featuring colors from the Magical Papers – Black, Cranberry, Crystal Blue, Honey, Sapphire, Whisper and White Daisy.
If you know me well, or maybe even a little bit, you know that I am a Disney fanatic. I don’t think he’ll ever admit it, but I think a little bit of the bug may have bitten my Wrangler wearing sweetheart! Playing with these colors was not hard for me…deciding what I wanted to feature on my blog was!
I finally settled on this Thank You card that we’re creating at my Card Class this month. The Magical Papers are so much fun to play with. If I had to pick a favorite it would be a three way tie between the multi-colored hearts, the bold cranberry polka dots (it’s so Minnie) and the black camera’s which I didn’t use on this card.
OK, now it’s YOUR turn! The full details on how to join the fun is in the sidebar of our homepage. Each color dare is open until 9:00 CDT on Thursday!
While at the homepage – check out what the other design team members have created and leave them a little love (comments make our day)!
Hi my name is Brooke and I live with my grandma Tracey and I will be 10 on Saturday!
I’ve been watching my grandma stamp for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge sometimes and I wanted to play along too!
This is my card, I used Cranberry, Black and Whisper Inks with the Hexagon stamp set. For the little in big hexagon shape I put it on the block backwards. For the Sweet As Honey sentiment I didn’t get more ink the second time (grandma said it’s called second generation stamping) I hope you like my card!
Since my schedule has freed up a little I’m back in the craft room between loads of laundry, vacuuming and running a child to the school bus and other assorted appointments.
This morning I stopped by the Heart to Heart Challenge blog where I found another color challenge posted.
Cranberry, Gold Rush, Lagoon and Dessert Sand
I found my inspiration card on page 132 of the Annual Inspirations. What a great place to gain inspiration and although it is not copied exactly the background stamp still provides the perfect backdrop for a cheery hello!
The card front is mounted on Kraft Cardstock which I felt coordinated with the addition of the Dessert Sand ink. I finished the card by adding three Gold Gems in the bottom corner.
I’ll be giving this card away on my Facebook page so stop over there like my page and leave a comment.
