Good Things – Color Dare #291

It’s Friday…time for another Color Dare!

This week the Color My Heart Color Dare Design Team is creating with the colors:  Sapphire, Smoothie, Heather and Gold if desired.

I used papers from the new Beautiful Friendship paper packet paired with the stamp set from the Festive Birthday card kit and a pattern from Make It From Your Heart 4.

Wild About You!

If you’ve been following me for any amount of time you know that I love cards with a  wow factor – a fun fold, something that really makes your recipient know that they are special to you.

A few days ago I saw a video on the Jennifer McGuire Ink blog touting Off-The-Edge Die Cut Cards and I knew immediately I had to give it a try.  I’ve seen this technique before, but always struggled until I watched the video (several times) and even slowed it down step-by-step while I made this card.  Turns out it’s much easier than I thought it was going to be and I’ll be making this style of card again.

Do you have your Punny Pals stamp set yet?  It has definitely earned a front row on my desk – I’ve used it for so many cards and the fact that it benefits Operation Smile makes it that much sweeter.

Thank you so much for stopping by…I hope you’ll take a minute and leave me a little love!  I’m wild about your comments.

Monochromatic Valentines

Each of these valentines feature papers from the Adventure Fundamentals paper packets and matching cardstock.  Although I LOVE our seasonal paper packets I also love creating with each of the palettes available in the fundamental paper line.

Each paper packet has matching ribbon and complements so creating is limited only by your creativity.

This little piggy from the Punny Pals stamp set is delivering HOGS & Kisses with a Blossom color palette.  I used the large stripe paired with the small hearts for a spunky balance.  The little piggy was outlined with my black fine tip marker and the sentiment was highlighted with pink.

Next up is a cute dancing giraffe with Emerald Hearts.  I started by embossing the cardstock and then lightly sanding to show the white core of our cardstock.  I then layered on the Emerald Hearts B&T, wrapped my ribbon around and popped up the giraffe panel.  I accessorized my giraffe with a sparkly red glitter heart that I cut on the Cricut.

Last, but certainly not least is my favorite color palette Raspberry!  Would you ever guess that this valentine was made with a Thank You stamp set?  That’s right the Happy Heart stamp set features two thank you sentiments and this great You Make My Heart Happy sentiment along with two scribble hearts.  I accessorized the card with our white & gold ribbon and a single clear sparkle on the heart.

I hope you’ll give our Fundamental paper line a try – they coordinate nicely for monochromatic cards, but I’ll be back later this week showing how the papers work nicely together, too!

If you could take a minute and let me know which Valentine is your favorite I’d appreciate the comment.  I read them all and enjoy your thoughts.

Pizza My Heart

Today I decided to enter another card into the Three Amigos Blog Hop Nom, Nom Challenge.  My friend Susan posted the cutest pizza card using the We Belong Together Stamp Set (click here to see her card) I decided to give it a twist of my own.

Isn’t that little pizza guy just the cutest.  Although I’ve used this set for a Valentine it could really be used for any relationship reason.  I think my nieces and nephews would love this card just because it would arrive in the mail.

Thanks for stopping by today and take a minute to hop over to the Three Amigos Blog Hop and see the fun food challenge entries.

Cats & Bats Crazy

Have you heard that the Great Pumpkin is coming?  Instead of sitting in the Pumpkin Patch I spent some time in the Craft Coop and had a fun time making some Halloween cards – you might just find one in your mailbox this week.

All of my cards were made using the Cats & Bats suite.  Papers, Card Making and Scrapbooking Stamp Sets and Thin Cuts and Dots.  I also used patterns from the Originals Card Confidence Program…this is a MUST HAVE if you are a card maker.

Oh Baby I Miss You

Sometimes when a friend is clear across the country it’s like you lost your balloon.  This 3.5 X 8 card size is not one that I make frequently, but I wanted the balloon to be floating away and just the size of the elephant made that impossible on a smaller card.

Are you in love with this baby elephant stamp from the Sweet Baby stamp set as much as I am?  I can see it being used for lots of cards and since it has a matching thin cuts die it makes it that much more special.

I hope you’ll take a minute and leave a comment on my blog.  I love reading your messages, they really encourage me to keep creating!

Punny Pals Steal the Spotlight

I didn’t think the Punny Pals stamp set could get any cuter, but with the new matching thin cuts in the October Share A Smile card they are 13 times cuter!  That’s one thin cut for each cute little critter!

My card is 4X4 and I first cut a circle before running it through the Alphabet Embossing folder.  I added a piece of B&T behind the circle cut out and then popped up the front panel with 3D Foam tape.  I added my die cut and colored animals with some Thin 3D Foam tape.  I think this would make a perfect baby card, birthday card or just a happy hello to share a smile.

Don’t miss out on the Share a Smile card kit…it’s just $39.95 while supplies last.

Thanks for stopping by!
