Our power went off for 2 1/2 hours yesterday while I was in the middle of preparing for my upcoming $5 Card Class. I wasn’t too worried because my craft room has plenty of light, but it did put a stop to my Cricut cutting.
I have recently become enamored with the monochromatic look it just seems like it gives a card such a fresh clean feeling. I love the Dots embossing paired with the seersucker pattern from the Penelope paper packet. The bunny is from one of my favorite sets Spring Critters and it has a Thin Cuts to match – no fussy cutting for this girl. Mine is colored with our Shin Han markers and popped up on 3D Foam Tape.
Thinking about joining my $5 card class – it’s the first Thursday of every month – you’ll go home with three cute cards (in my opinion of course).
Thanks for stopping by…leave me a comment what your favorite animal is from the Spring Critters Set. Don’t have the set yet, just click on the link and it will take you right to the stamp set in my store.
If I was going to pick a color besides the pink I picked in yesterday’s blog post, I would definitely pick the combination of Lagoon & Sweet Leaf (or Pear).
As I continue to make thank you cards for my stash today I reached for some leftover scraps of Skylark and the Frame Flair stamp set I traded a sister consultant for. I have a tendency to forget what I own and some times I love a set so much I order it twice…it’s nice to know that I’m not the only one that does that and every once in a while in works out for both of us!
Instead of popping up the frame with foam tape I added a few layers (5 to be exact) of the same Cricut cut shape, adhered them together and then adhered the entire pile to the card front. Did you notice the fun polka-dot embossed white daisy card stock? It was done with our new DOT embossing folder. We have 5 patterns to choose from – DOT, STRIPE, CHEVRON, DAMASK & QUATREFOIL.
Here are the items I used:
Thanks oodles for stopping by today…I hope that you enjoyed my art!
