Welcome back…today I’m bringing you a card that will work for three, yes three challenges!!!

I have been working on Valentines for the past couple of days and knew that I wanted to incorporate the Color My Heart Color Dare challenge #278 Kraft, Bashful & Gold.   After looking at a couple of Sketch Challenges I dropped by the Heart To Heart blog when I found the Make It From Your Heart Challenge so I reached for Volume 4 and took off to making my card.

After seeing an adorable card by my friend and fellow consultant Susan on Instagram I learned that the  Three Amigo’s Blog Hop  is hosting a Nom, Nom Challenge – S’mores rate really high on my nom nom list!

So there you have it…three challenges in one card.  I hope you’ll take a minute and stop by each of the challenges (and maybe even enter).  Make sure you leave the DT members a comment because there are lots of work that goes into making these challenge happen.

I appreciate you stopping by…let me know if you are a traditional red/pink Valentine maker or if you stray towards anything sparkly by leaving me a comment.

Bloom & Grow

I stopped by the Three Amigo’s Blog Hop to see what they had happening in the new year and to my happy surprise it’s an ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE.

Have you heard that there’s a new card how to book?  Make it From Your Heart 4 was released in January and I’m finding it great inspiration.  This card is a loose interpretation of one of the new patterns.

I really like the large tone on tone rose B&T paper from the Whimsy Paper Packet and thought it paired well with the January Stamp of the Month Bloom & Grow.  The matching Glacier ribbon with it’s gold stripe allowed me to pull in some Gold Glitter Paper and Gold Glitter Gems as accents.

Don’t forget that the Bloom & Grow stamp set is only available during the month of January and you can add it to your order for full price or get it for just $5 with a qualifying order.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you’ll come back and visit again soon.

Metallics – Color Dare #222

Happy Friday and welcome to another week of the Color My Heart Color Dare.  This week we are featuring  the metallics with black, white or colonial white.

I had so much fun making this card and putting the metallics together.  I started by stamping the flowers from the December Stamp of the Month in Versamark and embossing in both silver and gold.  I stamped them separately embossed in one color and then stamped again and embossed in the other color.  I was careful to remove all loose embossing powder so that I wouldn’t end up with any specks on my black cardstock.  The top part of my card is a piece of the vellum and ribbon from the Uptown Fundamentals collection

OK, now it’s YOUR turn!  The full details on how to join the fun is in the sidebar of our homepage.  Each color dare is open until 9:00 CDT on Thursday!

It’s Lisa’s Challenge – Color Dare #209

Welcome to another Friday at the Color My Heart Color Dare!  Remember 9 challenges ago when we celebrated turning 200 and the grand prize was a chance to pick your own color challenge!  Well, here it is Color Dare 209 is Lisa’s winning Color Combo – Gold, Sorbet, Pomegranate, Pear, Black and White Daisy!

My initial thought when I saw these colors was “you’ve got to be kidding me”, but once I started pulling out papers I realized that I really liked them together.

All of the B&T papers our from our newly designed Fundamentals line mounted on Black cardstock mounted to a card base.  The Gold Glitter Strip runs the width of the card and is topped off by a sentiment stamped in Pear and Black mounted on Pear cardstock.  To finish it off I added three Green Enamel triangles.

I hope you’ll jump over to the Color Dare’s blog and take a look what the other Design Team Members have created.  I also have high hopes that you’ll take a few minutes to participate.  You don’t even have to have a blog to enter – PINTEREST works just fine!

Thanks for stopping by…leave me a comment about what you think about these colors.

Have a great Labor Day Weekend!

Color My Heart #143 – Wedding Bling

Oh how I love Black and White with a touch of bling…in the case of the Color My Heart Dare #143 that bling is Gold.

I needed a wedding card, but also had a little girl watching over my shoulder impatiently telling me what I should do differently, I sent her gardening with her granddad but that didn’t last long so I knew my time was limited.  I turned to the Close to My Heart Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge and found this cute wedding cake.  I don’t care much for the 5 X 7 cards so I sized it down to 5.5″, then I decided I didn’t want an all black card so I cut it apart and it became the front panel of a white card.  I then cut the ribbons from a piece of Gold Glitter Paper and glued them on with my glue pen.  Super simple.

The inside was stamped with Congratulations and then the wedding ring icon from the same cartridge was cut at 4.25 and mounted underneath.

I cherish my wedding cards and just recently went back and read all the kind wishes.  I hope you have been inspired to take a look at black, white and gold and see what you can make today.
