Happy Friday! It’s another Tic Tac Toe week at the Color My Heart Color Dare – Challenge #318 brings us the beautiful fall colors of the Grateful Heart paper packet. Although we refer to the Close to My Heart Papers and Colors they are not required to play in our challenge – just grab what’s close and start creating!
I was all over the place with this board…the bottom row had me thinking coffee, the middle row had me thinking fall leaves and somehow I just couldn’t make up my mind – so I grabbed the pretty floral from the Grateful Heart pack and played with them all!
Not only did I use all the colors of the board, but there is absolutely no stamping on this card. I cut apart a PML card for my banner added some mink twine, grateful heart complements and clear sparkles and that’s a wrap!
If you’d like to play along you can find the rules under a tab at the top of the Color Dare. While you’re visiting our home page make sure to hop through the projects the other design team members have created and leave them a little love (comments make our days).
Heart 2 Heart Challenges asks what it looks like outside where you are? My Craft Coop windows are flanked with trees that are bit by bit losing their leaves.
My card was inspired by those leaves falling in the breeze and a card that I had seen on Pinterest here. I love perusing Pinterest for card ideas there are so many wonderful artists to gain inspiration from, however I always put my own twist on the card.
I have always loved (until recently) sending happy mail so I seem to be getting a lot of use out of this Hello Friend Sentiment from the Grateful Heart Cardmaking Stamp set.
I hope you’ll consider checking out the Heart 2 Heart Challenges – their challenges are posted weekly but open for the entire month so it gives you lots of time to participate.
Thanks for stopping by…happy fall y’all!
Happy Friday! This week the Color My Heart Color Dare is featuring the colors: Pomegranate, Sapphire, Saffron and Gold.
Recently we took a Sunday drive with friends along Chuckanut drive in Northwest Washington to see the fall colors which inspired me to recreate the memories on a card.
I used papers from the Grateful Heart paper packet and the November Stamp of the Month Seasonal Trees. I love the trees with the accents of leaves, branches, bird nests, bird houses and ornaments…you just have to check it out!
OK, now it’s YOUR turn! The full details on how to join the fun is in the sidebar of our homepage. Each color dare is open until 9:00 CDT on Thursday!
While at the homepage – check out what the other design team members have created and leave them a little love (comments make our day)!
I’m starting my morning much like I started yesterday only much earlier – it’s only 4:30am and I’ve been in The Coop for an hour and a half after not being able to sleep since midnight (may as well let hubby sleep instead of keeping him awake with my tossing and turning).
Yesterday morning I stopped by the Heart 2 Heart Challenge and learned about their Pumpkin Spice challenge – the last one of October – their actually keeping the date open until Saturday, November 3rd. My plans to participate yesterday were a little derailed, but here I am ready now to participate.
I love fall…the rich colors of the leaves, cooler weather and it’s holiday season! I’m not much of a Pumpkin Spice Girl – however I do like pumpkin pie. Do you? I’ve found it’s either a love it or hate it kind of thing. I used to tell my mom that it was great for breakfast and I was getting my serving of vegetables out of the way.
OK, ok, the card! I loved this PML card that was in the Grateful Heart paper packet. I stamped the Hello Friend stamp from the coordinating stamp set and layered it on New England Ivy CS which was then layered on Fern and finally the Saffron B&T from the same paper packet. I used some retired NEI Twine for a simple accent.
If you get some time stop by the Heart 2 Heart Challenges – they have a new challenge weekly, but allow you to link up the entire month so even if week 1 doesn’t work, but you like the challenge you still have time to play!
Thanks for stopping by!
I’m grateful for time to make cards, for practicing with my watercolors and YOU!
