On Tuesday I issued a little challenge to my Thursday Morning Cards in the Coop class to create a card using the pattern I provided. I wanted them to see how easy it is to create with one of the Close to My Heart pattern books when all there is to decide is what colors and stamps to use.
I played along with the challenge too and timed my card from start to finish. I went in a totally different direction that I had initially planned, but I was looking for a bright sunny “hello card” to add to my collection. It took me less than 5 minutes including two trips across the room to the Big Shot to die cut the spool and the tiny heart!
Don’t you just love the bright bold flowers on the Craft On paper? And that spool of thread? Swoon!!!
I can’t wait to see if my Card Class ladies played along.
Today I mailed this card pattern to each of my Thursday morning Cards in the Coop participants with the challenge to create a card using only Close to My Heart products and bring it to class for a free gift from me.
I told them I’d play along and share my card on Thursday. I even gave them a hint of what I might do.
When I sat down at my desk – my mind went a completely different direction and it only took me 5 minutes from start to finish to have my card created. I will share it here Thursday.

Thanks for stopping by our very mini hop where we are showcasing cards made from the wonderful Close to Heart Originals Card Confidence Program. This month our featured card is the Heart Tag found on page 126. I decided to make this sweet little card just as it is featured in the book but swapping the location of the B & T paper to the bottom half of the card.
I love small cards that pack a big punch and this one at 4 3/4 X 3 is perfect to slip into a computer bag or backpack to remind someone you love them. My card features the Laughing Lola papers which is one of my favorites from the Autumn/Winter idea book. I added some white stitch lines with our chalk marker and tied it up my heart with some pretty black ribbon. For a list of the items I used on this card and a link to purchase them please scroll to the bottom of the post.
Now hop on over to Betsy and Mary’s blog and see what they’ve done with this cute little sketch.
