So what are your thoughts on these cute little cards? I think I’m going to pick a couple and show you how’d I’d use them in an upcoming post. They are certainly quick and easy to make, a great way to use up scraps and I even experimented with combining some paper packs.
I’ve got more things to create so I will not be too wordy.
Thanks for stopping by…see you tomorrow with a new post for the Color My Heart Color Dare!
Welcome to the Joyful Stars Blog Hop for April…a little birdie told me you should have arrived here from my friend Debi Brile’s Blog, but if you are starting here that’s ok too. We are a circular hop filled with amazing artwork with Close to My Heart products so if you click on the links at the end of each post you’ll eventually end up right back where you started.
As my husband would tell me…let’s roll ’em cowgirl!
This month I’m featuring a gate-fold card using the papers and stamps from the Some Kinda Wonderful product line. I wasn’t too sure of the patterns in these papers when I saw them in the catalog, but I’ve ended up using them all. I can’t get enough of the animals and sentiments in this cute coordinating stamp set and since it’s paired with thin cuts, this girl couldn’t be happier!
I’ve also linked my card up to a new challenge blog called Three Amigos. Their first challenge is to use the Some Kinda Wonderful papers. If you’d like to link up something too, click here.
If you don’t have a consultant I’d love it if you’d choose me – not local that’s ok too! I host a mystery hostess party each month on my business page – if you order you’re entered for a chance to be the hostess for that month. You can also find out about my classes and other happenings if you LIKE my Facebook Page.
Now we’ve reached the time where you can leave me a comment (if you want to make me happy) and then you can hop over to Krista’s Crafty Corner to see her project.

The challenge on the Heart to Heart Blog this week is to use your favorite tools…my first thought was to go on and on about the thin cuts – I do love them and they are on sale this month. Then I thought about all the other tools that I use in card making and the one thing that is consistently used is our How To Books.
The Make It From Your Heart pattern books are a staple on my crafting desk…I’ve actually used them so much that the covers are falling off! When you find a pattern that you love, give it a twist – change the papers, change the orientation, make it yours!
You might recognize my card as one from the Some Kinda Wonderful Workshop Your Way and you’re not mistaken. If you find a pattern that you like – give it a twist. It just so happens that the young lady I’m making this card for claims that she “HATES PINK!” I think she’s just misguided, LOL, but to keep the peace I changed my papers to a fun lagoon heart B&T from the Adventure Fundamentals collection.
A good pattern or “card sketch” isn’t hard to find when you turn to the pages of one of the many Close to My Heart How To Books.
I hope you’ll take a minute to let me know what you think of my card and what you’re favorite tool from Close to My Heart is.
I needed a quick little gift for a girlfriend that I was meeting for lunch so I reached for the bright cheery Some Kinda Wonderful paper packet and coordinating card-making stamp set.
These papers are sure to cheer you as you create with them – even on the rainiest of PNW days! I stamped each of the animals with the Memento Black Tuxedo Ink and then colored them in with Shin Han Markers thin cut them and mounted in place with a little thin 3D foam tape. I had three cards finished and bundled in less than 30 minutes.
Do you ever bundle your cards as a gift? Close to My Heart makes it so easy with our easy to follow directions in our Workshops Your Way kits. Each scrapbook kit contains enough supplies to make 9 cards, 3 of each design. I’ll be holding my first Workshop Your Way class in March…hop on over to my Facebook page and learn more.
