Balloon Animals

It’s a brand new month which means there is a brand new stamp of the month!  Who doesn’t love balloon animals?  The real ones or this adorable stamp set that’s only available in the month of February.

I recently participated in a monthly swap where I received so many fun cards – no two looked the same.  If you’d like to see the assortment you should come to one of my classes this month – today is the last day to sign up for both the $5 Card Class and the Valentine Class – so don’t waste any time!

This is my card.  I decided that I wanted to keep my card bright and cheery so I kept the colors in the Adventure family.  I started with a base of Gypsy Paper Fundamentals and just built on it from there.  I liked that the pattern on the fundamentals was similar to the frame around the sentiment.

I have a fun idea to use this stamp set on a scrapbook page, but I have to find the pictures from last Valentine’s Day when Miss B and I went to dinner at the Spaghetti Factory with my sis-in-law and her girls.  Organizing my photos is a BIG goal this year.

If you love this stamp set it’s available for as little as $5 with a qualifying order.  Stop by my store at where you can order yours today.

Beloved Bouquet

As promised, I’m back with original artwork using January’s Stamp of the Month, Beloved Bouquet.

Who wouldn’t want to be your Valentine with this pretty card?  It’s my first time playing with the new diffuser and I love that it leaves a nice flat area that you can still stamp on.  I fussy cut the roses, surprisingly it was pretty easy, and popped up them with 3D foam tape.

If you don’t have a consultant of your own you can order your Valentine making supplies from my website and they’ll ship right to your door!

Thanks for stopping by…stay tuned, there’s more to come!

Although I felt this set was initially going to be hard to work with, it didn’t take me long to figure that the frames would work well for both a scrapbook layout or a card.  I chose to go in the card direction (no big surprise there I’m sure).  I looked through the “Wishes” Card Confidence Book that has over 100 card patterns.  I chose two that focused on using a frame.

The first card comes from page 59.  I used the Wooden Frame and added Cricut cut letters from the Artfully sent cartridge to for a fun Father’s Day Card.  I wrapped a piece of bakers twine around to keep the embellishment simple.

My second card is a take of the pattern on page 120.  First I cut the shape from the Art Philosophy Cartridge and then stamped the frame around it.  I placed a piece of B&T from Hopscotch along the bottom inside of the card so that it would show through the opening and then layered the sentiment “Choose Happy” on a pennant to the front of the card.
