This Double Trouble gig has hooked me up with a couple of new challenges and I wanted to see what I could come up with that would fit several of them.
First of all our challenge at Double Trouble is to NOT use patterned paper and we are teamed up with The Three Amigos to use a manual or machine die cut. I stumbled across another challenge called Bitten By The Bug 2 (you have use a Cricut cut) with a Fathers Day theme and I also saw a male theme at Always Fun Challenge.
I think I got them all!
I knew I wanted a guitar and I found it on Cricut Design Space it’s from Rock Princess, but cut in masculine colors! The background ink splotches are a retired Close to My Heart set called Brush Strokes and the sentiment is also a retired set called Happy Everything.
If you’ve never participated in a challenge I’d like to “challenge you” to give it a try. It really is a fun way to get some inspiration in card making.
Thanks so much for stopping by…I hope you’ll take a minute to leave me a comment, I read each and everyone of them.
Happy Monday – it’s time for more trouble – Double Trouble that is! You’ll be seeing regular challenges the first and third Monday of each month and I hope you’ll be joining us…on the off chance there’s five Mondays in a month – it’s going to be a Free For All (stay tuned).
Melanie, Sue & I are having fun brainstorming these challenges and I hope you’re having fun following AND playing along.
This week our challenge is to NOT USE patterned paper on your project. I’m popping in with a TWIST (or an additional challenge which is always optional) to use a die cut, the Double Dare this week is to link to the ever popular Three Amigo’s Blog Hop.
It wasn’t much of a challenge for me not to reach for patterned paper…I tend to like the Clean & Simple Style. I embossed my white panel with the Woodgrain embossing folder to add texture and then die cut the banners from the Close to My Heart Basic Banners Thin Cuts, the 1 inch squares were also die cut with the Documented-Cardmaking Thin Cuts and then stamped with the coordinating flowers a pearl adorns the center of each flower.
I hope you’ll decide to play along with the Double Trouble Blog Challenge you can find the rules here.
Thanks for stopping by…I hope you liked my card and will leave me some love. I read each and every comment that’s left.
